This series consists of correspondence, forms, lists, memorandums, newspaper clippings, notes, photographs, reports, and other records contained in case files opened by the San Antonio (Texas) Field Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The records consist of investigative case files relating to the dissident actions of Fascists, Nazis, Communists, the New Left, and other groups or individuals seeking to overthrow the U.S. Government through violence or other unlawful means. Particular organizations mentioned may include the Abraham Lincoln Brigade, the Black Panthers, the Communist Party of the USA, the Labor Youth League, the W. E. B. DuBois Clubs, the Socialist Workers Party, and Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), among others.
